Only 50 of these tuned Escalades will be built but they do come at a hefty price.

The luxury performance SUV market is exploding, with most major manufacturers offering hot versions of family SUVs. Cars like the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne Turbo continue to sell well, and local heroes like the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat prove that American manufacturers can produce world-class vehicles. Cadillac has also recently entered the fray with the Escalade-V. The Escalade has proven to be a massive sales success for Cadillac, and the V promises enormous performance from its 682-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, but what if you want even more power? Enter Specialty Vehicle Engineering, the tuning powerhouse responsible for making American metal move at incredible speeds. SVE has introduced the new 2023 SXR Series supercharged Escalade and Escalade ESV, which promise a devastating dose of power and luxury.

SVE didn't mess around when developing its engine package for the SXR. This beast of an SUV has received a complete engine overhaul, including a fully blueprinted block with a race-spec balanced rotating assembly, a forged 1538MV twisted steel crankshaft, and forged aluminum pistons. The head has also been upgraded, and a custom supercharger assembly bolted to the top. Exhaust gasses now flow through a custom stainless steel exhaust system. The total power output is an astonishing 800 horsepower and 720 lb-ft of torque. That's significantly more than you get in the stock Cadillac Escalade-V, which can only muster 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft.

According to SVE, this qualifies the SXR as the quickest 2023 limited-production full-size SUV in the world. No 0-60 times were quoted, but considering this tuned Caddy's power, it should leave the BMW Alpina XB7 eating its dust. Even the 710-hp Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat suddenly seems underendowed.

Speaking of limited production, only 50 of these monsters will be built. Not only are these special Escalades seriously quick, but they also look the part thanks to a set of unique six-spoke 22-inch alloy wheels and an 800-hp badge on the liftgate. The exterior also features new door sills and a wealth of optional exterior styling bits and pieces. The interior also gets a good overhaul and now features an SXR series supercharged emblem embroidered on the front seat headrests and floor mats. To remind you of its exclusivity, a numbered plaque sits proudly on the dashboard.

Interested parties can fit the SXR Series Cadillac Escalade package to any 2023 Cadillac Escalade or Cadillac ESV, including rear- or all-wheel-drive variants. However, the base car must come with the 6.2-liter V8, so that rules out the more efficient 3.0-liter diesel. Also, the SXR upgrade can't be applied to the Escalade-V.

The cost of such a conversion? A cool $69,995. That price does not include the price of the original vehicle, and the conversion is estimated to take six to eight weeks. Considering that a base Escalade V8 starts at $79,295, you're looking at around $150,000 in total.
